Problems we face in the region
Greater Manchester crime stats 2003-2004
Greater Manchester stats in blue, national average in pink.
According to recent crime statistics, the Greater Manchester region has some of the highest crime rates in the country. In Manchester itself, the crime rates are around double the national average (see image), and the region tops the chart in areas such as vehicle theft and homicide.
Add to this the problems of drug abuse, illiteracy and general immorality, and the picture becomes quite bleak. This is exactly why an Ideal Org is needed in Manchester and needed
fast. From our central org, we will have the means to actually do something about all of the problems mentioned above, in addition to all the other vital activities of an org.
The Manchester Org field is already very active in a number of social betterment fields, including drug education lectures to school children, rehabilitation of criminals with correspondance self-improvement courses, volunteer help in the form of Volunteer Minister activities.
